A Review of 'That Feeling' by Demons of Ruby Mae 19/05/16

DEMONS OF RUBY MAE - press shot

Jonny Gavin and Adam Rowley are both muliti - instrumentalists from Leicester. Having left their former band 'The Chairmen' in 2012,  the duo are now known as Demons of Ruby Mae and are based in Manchester.

Last year they released their debut EP 'The Boy who Cried Wolf' - a track that I'm a big fan of -  and are now back with a brand new single 'That Feeling', which was produced by Tim Brand and Roy Kerr - the team behind London Grammar's re-owned debut record.

Listening to 'That Feeling', it shows the vocals full potential from the start, vocals that I find outstanding - almost a male version of Florence Welch.

I find the instruments used together very different giving the tune something to focus on, the duo being multi - instrumentalists gives the a huge advantage as they are able to create amazing music.

Their set genre being alternative rock folk reflects this song very well and I believe folk dominates especially.

This is a song that I would've imagined to be a part of the top charts as the quality and talent put into this deserves lots of recognition.

I look forward to hear more from this band and hopefully get the opportunity to hear this song play live some time soon.
