The Volts are an alternative band from Warrington, made up of the following five members; Rory Hope (vocals), Chris Smith (lead guitar), Phil Hughes (rhythm guitar), Rick Lyons (bass) and Jay Hughes (drums).

As an experienced You Me At Six fanatic, the influence of their sound is quite evident to me in The Volts' most recent track, She's Dangerous.

The introduction to She's Dangerous is immediately catchy, the rhythm of the drum combined with the fiery riffs is just the perfect recipe for a successful alternative rock song. The lyrics are exciting and relatable with everything a young person feels when being enticed and intrigued by someone new.

The Volts have created a song that you can't help but sing along to, it's the kind of music you want to be listening to whilst stood in a field at festival on a hot August evening, having a dance about with your friends.

This band are one to be aware of, keep yours ears and eyes open for more new creations from these five talented guys.
