LIGHTHOUSE are an indie-rock four-piece from East London.

Compromised of Peter Kilpatrick (lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Jamie Mantzouridis (lead guitarist), Josh Walsh (bassist and backing vocalist) and Dave Harris (drummer) this quartet have a self-proclaimed 'huge sound' as well as 'strong rhythmical riffs and sing along indie hooks' - which from hearing their musical releases I definitely agree with.

2014 saw the band form, 2015 they supported The Rifles at Camden's Electric Ballroom and in 2016 as well as signing to Derelict Art Records, the band got their first radio play on BBC Introducing London.

After having signed to the record label last July, the boys of Lighthouse are now set to release their double A-side single 'Brown Bottle Flu / Loaded' one week today.

This release was recorded at Lightship95 by Rory Atwell of Brattwell Records who has previously worked with the likes of Peace, Palma Violets, Marina and the Diamonds and The Vaccines.

Both songs are filled with wonderful riffs, strong drum beats and bass lines which with the vocals finish them off brilliantly.

Usually when I listen to an EP or a double A-side single I have a favourite out of the songs on it. However, on this occasion I have actually struggled to decide if I have a favourite out of the two, there isn't one which stands out over the other as both tunes are great and pack a punch.

They have quite a harrowing sound about them due to the vocals and the slightly heavy instrumentals in parts.

With them producing music like this its hardly surprising that they have now been signed.

When I was first asked to review this release following hearing the little teaser which was released on the bands social media I jumped at the chance due to the snippet of the song I heard sounding promising - I was right to do so as Lighthouse have definitely delivered with these songs.

They are quite an exciting band and I am already looking forward to the future prospects they have to offer as I am sure that they will only progress and get better than they already are.

This single is now available to be pre-ordered on 7 inch vinyl. You can order both the 7 inch vinyl for this single and Lighthouse t-shirts here - the first 100 copies of the 7 inch will be signed by all members of the band. All vinyl will include an exclusive art card and a free download code.

Digitally the release will be available on all major digital download platforms and streaming services.

There will also be a single launch show on the night of the 27th (the day of release) where support will come from Sleeping Lions, Calva Louise and a huge surprise band for the main support. It will take place at The Black Heart in Camden and will be followed by a Sisteray DJ set.
