Last month, Some Might Say came back with a second issue which showcased even more of the amazing up and coming bands and artists that the UK has to offer. Not only does blogger, zine curator, photographer and promoter, Sahera Walker, do this through the zine but also through her online publication ‘Indie Underground’ and now through her launch shows for each issue.
Tomorrow shall bring the launch show for issue 2. Taking place at London’s Nambucca for a more than generous £5 online or £7 on the door, there is the chance to see the truly wonderful; Dirty Orange, ARCADES, MUMMY, Calva Louise and special headliners Strange Bones – all of which you will probably have to pay that to see separately at other gigs. If you have not already got your ticket for this show you are most definitely going to miss out as it is going to be a truly immense gig and thus one hell of a launch for the second issue.
Set times are as follows:
Dirty Orange - 7.45 till 8.15
ARCADES - 8.30 till 9.00
MUMMY - 9.15 till 9.45
Calva Louise - 10.00 till 10.30
Strange Bones -
10.45 till 11.30
Due to the fact that the first two issues of this have both sold out online, it is clear that this zine is big and something that people are loving, there is no doubt in my mind that this is something that is going to continue to grow and could one day be something absolutely huge. If you have for some reason missed out on the first two issues, you must prepare yourself ready for the launch of issue 3 and get a copy for yourself.
If you haven’t got a copy of issue 2 which focuses on 'Bands to watch in 2018' but are going to the launch show, they shall be available to buy from Sahera herself on the night and I fully recommend that you do exactly that.
You can get your ticket for the launch show here. Doors are set to open at 7:00pm and following the bands, there shall be DJs till late. Please note, this is an 18+ gig.
